Eric 'Doc' Wyatt joined HMS St Brides Bay as advanced party for the ship's 9th and final commission June/July 1960. On his first day he witnesses the ship slice an Inshore Minesweeper (IMS) in half in Victoria Basin, Hong Kong Harbour !

Could that be 'Jenny Side Party' in foreground - costing-out a paint and scrap job perhaps?

ME1 Patrick Moore

Patrick now lives in Australia. Was it these early visits that made him decide this is where his future lay?
