7th Commission
August 1957 to January 1959

(Extracts from ship's magazine)

This Magazine records the seventh commission of St Brides Bay, and as you turn its pages I think you will agree that this has been an interesting, and at times, an eventful one. I missed the first six months but have thoroughly enjoyed the remaining twelve and hope that you have had as much fun as I have.

We have all worked hard and played hard and although we have all got a lot out of life during these past months, I like to think that we have all managed to put something back into it.

I would like to thank you all for having been such good ambassadors wherever we have been - Malaya, Borneo, Japan, Hong Kong, Wanchai, Singapore and Aden, and hope you will carry home pleasant memories of the Bride and the places we have visited.

I wish you all a happy leave on your return home and success in the future.
