Tim was an Acting Sub Lieutenant onboard at the time.

It was Tim who drew the chart for the Ship's Magazine at the end of the commission.

We were the first warship to visit Wainoni Bay, part of the Guadalcanal group, since the war, says Tim - the first they had seen.  It must have been quite a change not to have the sound of gunfire at the same time.
