John, son of CPO (GI) 'Jim' Green (Leslie Ernest Frank, but known as Jim), has forwarded the following very interesting photographs.

Jim was the Chief GI on board during the commission - prior to the St Brides Bay he had been the Chief GI aboard the battleship Vanguard. John had attended the launch of Vanguard with his dad as a babe in arms.

Jim's Service Certificate shows that he received a £11 8s 5d salvage award - believed to be for the SS Tefkros incident
